UK Sales Manager - Italian Wine
Location: Flexible (home based contract).
Salary: £60-80,000 plus bonus and benefits.
Must have experience: Wine Sales, National Accounts (some export experience an advantage).
Our client, a family-run business dedicated to sustainable, high-quality Italian wines, is seeking a passionate and results-oriented Sales Manager to spearhead their growth in the UK and US markets.
Purpose Driven: They are a team are united by a love for Italian wine and are fully commitment to sustainable practices. They source grapes from the finest terroirs throughout Italy, crafting innovative wines for all sales channels, from on-premise to online.
Working with an established partner, they have built an excellent reputation for quality and reliability, ensuring a tailor-made service for their customers.
Entering an exciting new period of investment & growth, they are seeking a new member of the team to expand their customers base in the UK and key international markets, specifically targeting North America.
In this exciting role, you will:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the UK market, identifying opportunities for further growth.
- Work collaboratively to build strong relationships with importers, distributors, and retailers.
- Manage key elements of the annual business plan, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
- Foster strong communication with the leadership team in Italy, including regular visits to vineyards and suppliers.
The Ideal Candidate:
- An energetic and self-motivated individual with a proven track record in sales and business development.
- A passionate advocate for Italian wine with a strong understanding of the UK and, ideally, US markets * (experience with leading UK retailers a ‘must have’).
- Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English is essential; Basic Italian language skills an advantage.
- Willingness to travel regularly within the UK, and occasionally to the US and Italy.
