About the Role:
The Head of Internal Controls will report to the Director of Financial Controls, playing a key role in identifying risks in financial reporting and ensuring the company’s internal controls are effective. The role will also lead initiatives to strengthen internal controls over financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Work with teams across Commercial Operations, Supply Chain, FP&A, Tax & Treasury, and Regional Finance Directors.
- Lead the implementation of new financial processes to support business scaling.
- Lead the internal controls team, promoting continuous improvement.
- Identify risks related to financial reporting and implementing internal controls to mitigate those risks.
- Manage a team of 3 and collaborate with finance leadership on talent and team development.
Essential Experience:
- Currently in an Internal Controls leadership role within a large consumer-facing organization, preferably a PLC.
- Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
- 5 years in a medium-large multinational
- 5 years in a Big 4 audit firm.
- Minimum 10 years total of experience in accounting, reporting, controls, or audit.
- Experience leading a controls team and designing global control frameworks.
- Proven success in leading high-performing teams and influencing senior management.
- Knowledge of US public company/SEC regulations, IFRS GAAP, and SOX controls.
